The radio-trekking adventure along the Santa Barbara Mining Trail (CMSB) does not stop, pushing forward with great strides towards new and fascinating landscapes in Sardinia. Leaving the San Cosimo area behind, my trusty penguin companion Giacomino and I are ready to fire up our rigs for Stage 09, scheduled for September 3nd, 2026, at stay tuned UTC.

For this unmissable portable session, our trusty white Panda 169 4×4 will lead us to a location of profound devotion and extraordinary visual impact: we will position ourselves in the immediate vicinity of the historic Staircase of San Simeone, in the municipal territory of Gonnosfanadiga (Cadastral Code: E089; reference geographical coordinates: 39.50616, 8.61816).

🗺️ The Route and the Spiritual Setting

The official ninth stage of the trail, which winds along the variant from Gonnosfanadiga to Villacidro, offers hikers and pilgrims a route rich in evocative sights, blending the wild beauty of the territory with monuments of popular faith. The famous Staircase of San Simeone, which leads to the small rural church of the same name perched on the heights, represents one of the most iconic landmarks of the surrounding landscape.

Activating reference 165DA/CMSB09 from this splendid panoramic viewpoint means uniting the charm of local tradition with the magic of radio waves, bringing 11-meter frequencies to the summit of a path defined by great spirituality and untouched nature.
