🏞️ The Venue: A Botanical & Geological Wonder 🌳🧪
Our activation site, Aula de la Natura “Els Surars”, is located in the heart of the Sierra de Marxuquera. This is not just any forest; it is a true environmental treasure. It hosts the only cork oak forest (Quercus suber) in the entire province of Valencia, officially protected as a Flora Micro-reserve.
While the surrounding region is strictly limestone, this specific area is a rare geological “acid soil island” that allowed these majestic cork oaks to thrive. Furthermore, this site is a powerful symbol of nature’s resilience. Having survived devastating wildfires in the past, the cork oaks have regenerated naturally thanks to their thick, protective bark. Operating from here means broadcasting a message of rebirth and environmental strength to the world! 🌍💪
🏕️ The Field Station & A Special Celebration! 🛠️🍾
Our intrepid activation team — Sergio 30DA010, Javi 30DA202, and Pepe 30DA201 — will hike up to this magical location and set up a temporary field station (stazione campale) right in the immediate vicinity of the Aula de la Natura, deploying a custom single-element Delta Loop antenna 📐✨.

This activation marks a very special occasion: it is the absolute first official activation for Pepe using his brand-new callsign 30DA201! We are incredibly proud to celebrate his official entry into the Delta Alfa family right from this symbolic location. New energy, new callsign, same great passion!
