Sergio will set up a field station in the immediate vicinity of the legendary Ermita dels Sants de la Pedra. This isn’t just a technical challenge; it’s a tribute to a site that has watched over the Spanish landscape since the 14th century.
Rising from the “Muntanyeta dels Sants,” the Hermitage stands as a lonely sentinel amidst the vast, emerald-green rice paddies of the Albufera Natural Park. Our antennas will stretch toward the sky from the only elevated point in this flat, watery horizon, bridging the gap between ancient tradition and modern radio communication.
⛪ The Soul of the Site: History & Protection
By activating this specific reference, the WBA honors the rich heritage of the Saints Abdon and Sennen. Known as the “Saints of the Stone,” they have been the celestial guardians of farmers for centuries, protecting the precious harvests from the “stone” (hail).
