A warm welcome to Nuria, 4DA166, who officially joins the WBA World Beauties Award activators family. Hailing from the beautiful coastal city of Mar del Plata, Argentina (known as “La Feliz”), Nuria brings with her a deep passion for radio spanning nearly 40 years. With a background in literature and history, Nuria combines her academic expertise with great technical skill, operating an ICOM IC-725 with various antennas (3-element Yagi, Delta Loop, and dipole).

Heartfelt congratulations on the excellent success of the 4DA/CRA008 activation, dedicated to the strength and solidarity of Argentine women for International Women’s Day.

  • Global Coverage: You connected with hunters from 4 continents (Europe, South America, North America, and Africa).
  • DX Countries: Notable participation from countries such as France (14), Germany (13), Italy (1), Poland (161), Brazil (3), Spain (30), and even more distant locations like Australia (43) and the USA (10).

⚡ A victory over QRM

We want to highlight with particular admiration the effort put in by Nuria: operating from a metropolis like Mar del Plata is no easy feat. Nuria had to battle against heavy urban QRM that constantly disturbed her reception. Despite this technical obstacle, her determination and “decades of DX experience” allowed her to manage the pile-up with extreme professionalism, delivering an outstanding result.
