Since the beginning of 2026, Andoni has shown incredible grit, facing the harshest weather conditions of Northern Spain without ever backing down. ⛈️ With Maria joining the team, they have become a powerhouse: their synergy turns every climb into a success, making them the perfect ambassadors for the wild beauty of the Basque and Cantabrian landscapes. 🌲👣
Recent Expeditions at Log 📝
Their recent track record is marked by activations that highlight their ability to operate in breathtaking natural contexts, ensuring top-tier technical results:
Ebro Reservoir (EAFF-1273) 💧: On April 5th, 2026, the duo activated this stunning location by the Ebro basin. Despite the logistical challenges, they logged 53 QSOs, spreading WBA signals from the shores of one of Spain’s largest reservoirs to Hunters across Europe. 🇪🇺📻
Sierra Plana de la Borbolla (ES-1393) ⛰️: A pure “Portable Field” activation carried out on May 12th, 2026. On this occasion, Andoni and Maria demonstrated great operational efficiency, reaching an impressive 84 QSOs and showing impeccable technical mastery in managing pile-ups from the Asturian heights. 🌊🎙️
Montehano Island (P008) 🏝️: A special mention for Andoni’s solo activation on April 10th, where he handled 61 QSOs from the evocative setting of this “ancient island.” 🌊📡

Operations: The station is now officially a “Couple Station”, with Maria masterfully coordinating the logs and Andoni at the mic, forming one of the most active “Portable Field” teams in Division 30. 🤝🎧
