In the territory of Villamassargia (Sardinia, Italy), excavation of the 1998-1999 revealed the presence of three giant tombs dating back to the Middle and Late Bronze Age. The area is located in the province of Carbonia-Iglesias, in the south-western part of Sardinia. The three tombs of the giants, which did in a bad state of conservation, returned funerary set, especially ceramic, and bone remains for which an anthropological analysis was performed. From the estimate of the minimum number of individuals, the sample consisted of 24 individuals (8 males, 4 females and 12 indeterminate), representing different age groups (from infantile to senile).
