Located at the foot of Mount Palmavera, in a bay that the Romans called “Port of the Nymphs”, the Nuragic Complex of Palmavera is one of the most important and significant examples of Nuragic architecture in Sardinia.The complex is composed of two imposing towers built with blocks of limestone and sandstone, surrounded by a pentagonal wall. Inside, there is the majestic Capanna delle Riunioni and three hut-towers. All around lies the village, once full of over 50 huts, today still witnesses of a glorious past.Palmavera is the perfect place to immerse yourself in the history of the Bronze Age and discover up close a society that has left an indelible mark on the history of #Alghero and the entire island.
