The Foxi Tower of the “torrezillas” type, i.e. light sighting and defense, with two garrison soldiers, communicated with that of Sant’Andrea (now disappeared), that of Mortorio in the locality of Is Mortorius (ruin) and with that of Carcangiolas, also in ruins and half sunk in the waters of Poetto. The towers communicated with each other by lighting bitumen-based fires, which had the specific task of signaling the danger coming from the sea in such a way as to be able to prepare an adequate counter-offensive system. The tower is still in good condition today at 2 meters above sea level with the classic truncated cone structure made up of three levels, the low level with water tank and warehouse, the medium level with a domed room for military accommodation, and a terrace for control and armament activities.
