it is an archaeological monument located at a height of approximately 260 meters on the plateau of the Giara di Siddi, an area affected by the presence of fourteen nuraghi.
Dating back to the Middle Bronze Age (1500-1300 BC), the tomb of the giants Sa Domu and S’Orcu is made with large blocks of basalt extracted from the plateau on which it stands.
The tomb has an almost completely intact and well-preserved structure. The basalt blocks are finely sculpted and worked along the entire structure, forming a tomb body 15.20 meters long arranged along the south-east-northwest axis. The exedra, the area in front of the tomb in which rituals linked to the cult of the dead presumably took place, is 18 meters wide.[1]
The burial has the classic shape of a bull protome (typical of the Sardinian prehistoric period) closed in a semicircle at the back. The rectangular burial chamber is approximately 10 meters long; on the left side there is a niche perhaps used to contain funerary and/or votive offerings. The roof is characterized by large flat granite slabs resting on the structure while the floor was strewn with river pebbles in which the deceased were placed. Inside, ceramic fragments from the Middle Bronze Age and the Copper Age were found.
